Basic knowledge of mold spring
This article only introduces the relevant knowledge points of mold springs. To select springs, you need to consult the selection manuals of different manufacturers.
In a set of stamping dies, more elastic materials are needed, including springs of different specifications, uniglue, nitrogen gas springs, etc., and different elastic materials are selected according to different needs. For bending and punching, ordinary rectangular springs can be used, such as brown springs, which are also called brown springs; Uniglue is generally used for drawing molds, shaping molds, or flatness.
1. The purpose of the mold spring
The purpose of the mold spring is to remove and press the material, and the strength of the spring is related to the smooth production of the mold and whether the product is qualified. If the force of the spring is small, it may cause various problems such as deformation of the product, the mold does not fall out, the product cannot be taken out of the mold, the material is stripped, and the knife edge and punch are easy to wear.
2. Classification of mold springs
Mold springs are generally divided into brown, green, red, blue, and yellow according to their colors. The strength is also reduced in sequence. Different colors have different strengths and different compressions.

Super compression
Compression amount 13~195 optional
High compression type
The amount of compression is 9~180 optional

Medium compression type
The amount of compression is 7.5~200 optional
Small compression type
The amount of compression is 8~120 optional
3. Mold spring performance
The spring is produced according to different production times, such as 1 million times, 500,000 times, and 300,000 times. The larger the compression amount, the shorter the spring life and the shorter the mold life (of course, the spring can be replaced if it is broken).
Maximum compression (how much the spring can be pressed down), the maximum compression of the spring is equal to the free height of the spring multiplied by the maximum compression ratio of the spring.
